My name is Joe Vautour. I am 31 years old, married, and
the father of a beautiful baby girl. I work for
Costco Wholesale Canada as an
Assistant Buyer in the Ecommerce division. I am also a fourth degree Knight with the
Knights of Columbus and sit on the executive of my council. I am also the Group
Commissioner for the 25th Nepean Scout group.
I grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. I left
Saint John to go work for The
North West Company up in Nunavut in the fall of 2000. I have written a little bit
about that experience on my
Nunavut Page. In April of 2005 I moved to Ottawa to work for a company called
XS Cargo before coming to
Costco in 2007.
My immediate family all live back in Saint John. I am
the eldest of three children, having two younger sisters. In total I have
three nieces and one nephew. My parents both come from large families so I have many
aunts, uncles and cousins. My wife and I are overjoyed with the recent arrival of our
daughter.
I have always been involved in a lot of activities and
groups and volunteered my time. One organization in particular that I have been very
involved with and is dear to my heart is Scouts Canada. The
Knights of Columbus is another
group that I am extremly proud to be a member of.
