Pittsburgh Zoo

I received an email in December of 2006 from a gentleman working on an design project for the "Water's Edge" exhibit at the Pittsburgh Zoo. This exhibit stars the beloved Polar Bear and also featurs Sea Otters and Walruses. In the exhibit, visitors are introduced to Arctic culture and educated on the detrimental environmental consequences that our decisions can make; and what we can do to help.

So why would this guy be emailing me you ask? One of the artifacts is a replica of an Inukshuk. They were developing sign content to explain what an Inukshuk is and wanted to incorporate a picture of an authentic Inukshuk in it's Arctic environment. They were asking permission to use one of my photos in the signage. I was honoured and granted them permission to use my photo and they would of course give me credit for the photo. This is a mock-up of the sign that they will be using.
